If we continue in a
clockwise direction, the next area we come across
is Stanleyville, which is surrounded by lush
tropical vegetation. At the centre, near an
orangutan island, is the Stanleyville Theatre
where you can hear Big Band music. There is also
a Train Station where you can catch the
Trans-Veldt Railway. We will also encounter Busch
Gardens wet rides here:-
Stanley Falls Log
Flume Ride
A log flume ride that may appear dated and slow,
but is guaranteed to get you soaked with a
40-foot drop at the end. Minimum height 42",
ride duration 3 ½ minutes.
Tanganyika Tidal Wave
A tranquil jungle journey aboard a 20-seater boat
ends with a sudden plunge down a 55-foot drop
into a splash pool, creating a tidal wave that
gets you, and anybody foolish enough to be
standing on the viewing bridge at the bottom of
the drop. There is a Plexiglas shelter where you
can hide to avoid the splash if you are chicken.
Ride duration is 6 minutes and the minimum height
is 42".
Orchid Canyon
A hundred-yard walk through an area with
cascading orchids, that also features lemurs,
rhinoceroses, eland and orangutans peacefully
snoozing in their enclosures.
